- An annual essay prize established to promote interest and encourage excellence in volunteering (UK or abroad) and international psychiatry.
- Open to medical students, foundation trainees, psychiatry trainees, SAS and specialty doctors; essays may describe clinical experiences, electives, reflections, research, audits or literature reviews in global or volunteering psychiatry.
- Prize: Winner £200 + certificate + free attendance at VIPSIG Annual Conference; Runner-up £100 + certificate + free attendance.
