- The Early Career Investigator Award encourages early career workers in diagnostic imaging, radiotherapy and related topics to carry out research and publish it in the British Journal of Radiology.
- The award is made to a BJR author within 5 years of appointment to a senior post at the time of submission for the best original research paper published in BJR that year.
- Recipients receive recognition for outstanding early career research contributions to radiology and related fields, with applications generally always open and awards presented annually.
