About

The Bangladeshi Doctors' UK National Conference is an annual academic meeting that has run since 2019. It brings together medical students, resident doctors, international medical graduates and senior clinicians for a day of peer-reviewed oral presentations, with around 100 abstracts presented across four rooms. The conference is delivered jointly by four organisations: Bangladeshi Doctors in UK, the British Bengali Medical Association at UCL, GramGP and Bangladeshi Doctors in Nottingham. Its central aim is to address differential attainment by giving doctors a national stage for their research and quality improvement work, alongside practical support for exams and applications such as the MSRA, MRCS Part A and IMT. Each year the conference awards 25 prizes across specialties for the best research, audit and quality improvement presentations. Prizes are judged independently by the room chairs on the day, from abstracts shortlisted through Oxford Abstracts.
